Freedom.
Responsibility.
Progress for Menden.
The Free Democrats Menden stand for a free, open, and economically strong city — with sound public finances, modern administration, and trust in the people who live here.
Who we are
We are the local chapter of the FDP — the Free Democratic Party of Germany — in Menden (Sauerland), part of the Märkischer Kreis district in North Rhine-Westphalia. Our chair is Ahmed Moala. In the city council, our group is led by Stefan Weige as part of the joint group "FDP / Freie Wähler".
What we stand for
- Freedom. The right to live your own life, to start a business, to choose your own path.
- Responsibility. Sound public finances. No debt that the next generation has to repay.
- Open society. Menden as a place where people of every background contribute and feel at home.
- Modern administration. Digital services, less bureaucracy, more time for what matters.
- Strong economy. Local jobs, a vibrant city centre, good schools, and reliable transport.
